The City Theater; designed chronically in parallel with the Aalto museum in 1972, and 15 years after Utzon won the Sydney Opera House project. Utzon and Aalto achieved similar outcomes using different vehicles. Utzon invited a promenade up to a world where we suspend belief, Aalto ducted us in through the 'cave' ahead of such transcendence.

Each  provided a change of consciousness and the opportunity that the plateau provides in supplicating the ordinariness of everyday existence in engaging with the extraordinary, and of course the opportunity that the plateau provides in seeing the world/city/place a little differently. Wow

Yet years ahead of Snohetta in Oslo but all speaking of the same concept o built landscape.
